This is a quieter area inland from coast, with a focus on health and fitness. Soi Ta-iad is a street with multiple muay thai gyms, fitness bootcamps, yoga studios and sports massage centres. Accomodation is more reasonably priced that the coast, and there are plenty of great local food options with a healthy focus. Still easy to get to the beach in a taxi within 20 mins, and close to the Big Buddha as well.

Had to ask for towels , no toilet paper , bed was hard as, and never changed any bed linen.
No soaps or bath mats.
I could keep complaining but I give up.
Would not recommend staying at this run down such and such 😠😠😠

We enjoyed going to some of the beaches off the beaten track, also chalong pier and many places where you could sit and have nice food, it is worth a little ride out to find these hidden gems. The sunset at Prom Thep Cape was amazing worth the walk up all the steps.

Chalong is a martial arts mecca.
Chalong is a martial arts mecca. You will find many juiced up Europeans that "eyeball" everything that looks like a potential match. Nothing really happens, but it is uncomfortable if you are there on holiday or other means. However, most people will go there for purposes of sports and do not mind that, so just be aware of what you will find if you book this place out of desperate needs or good prices.
The food is AMAZING! The best food I have ever had in 3 trips to Phuket, was all centered in that one street. They cater for healthy meals and it has great tastes. It is the only reason why I would visit it again to experience all the creative meals.
Chalong is far away from any nice swim beaches and I would recommend a scooter if you want to go for that. But again, most of the guests there go for the sports and occasionally take their trips to the beaches after all that.

We liked this area a lot, since it was not a tourist trap and the prices were really reasonable! There are more Tesco Lotuses in the area. The food is really great, the prices are cheap and people are friendly. There are a lot of sights to see and if you rent a motorbike evertything can be approached easily😊☝🏼

My favorite part in Phuket, for sure if you are traveling to train bjj/muay thai/mma etc. It is not the party place despite that you can still find a few places to chill.
You are 15 minutes away from Big Buddha and almost the same from Chalong temple.
A similar ride can get you you to Kata beach or Nai Hrn beach which are tourist favorites.
-Location is great, 2 min walk to rattachai gym and titan. 3 min walk to singha gym. 30 sec walk to 7-11
-Staff is friendly
-Rooms are quite big
-You get a drying rack which is great for your fight gear
-Shower is spacious, good warm water and the shampoo/soap smells like peppermint
-There is some gym equipment on the ground floor
-Nice swimming pool and with view on big Buddha of Phuket
-Rooms have smart TV, great for chilling between training sessions
-Bed is not super hard
The hotel is very well located at Tiger Street. The accommodations are fairly comfortable and the pool is pleasant. The breakfast is not included but can be served by the hotel. If you prefer you can take the breakfast at some other place in walk distance. There are many other restaurants near from the hotel. It is 20 to 30 minutes by motorcycle from the beaches. The location is recommended to people that wants to leave the fight sports experience.
I've traveled across the phuket, Phang Pha, Krabi, and booked dozens of hotel for this money. This one is the best one, didn't want to leave it. You need to have a bike because it's quite far away from the sea or any attractions, but you got very good room or house (I had both) in a very beautiful and peaceful setup. No street noise and very good wifi quality , for me it was important because I worked from it.
The hotel is very conveniently located along Soi Tai-ied, and also within walking distance to many gyms, eateries and convivence stall.
The hotel staff were very sweet to decorate our room and provided a cake for our friend's birthday :) Very much appreciated, thank you!
The hotel is so nice and so clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is great. But most of all, the staff are so helpful. They were so kind to me and so supportive when I needed to change my plans at short notice. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Excellent location near Chalong pier for diving. And 5 min walk to a super market to buy groceries. The room is spacey, clean, and neat. I also like standing in its balcony to watch sunrise with natural sounds surrounding.
There was a large pool just outside the room and was fantastic. The Breakfast was great with a good variety of cuisines. The beach was just on the other side of the hotel which was handy and it was a quiet beach.
Reception didn't have my booking so I ended up having a room to myself. Good shower, very short walk to Chalong Pier to catch my boat the next day, no deposit for the room key so I could leave when I wanted.
Very quiet and clean place in Chalong
Perfect for family and friends - very big swimming pool and also they have on site restaurant which service very good breakfast and meals
Very happy with my stay at the grey house palai. Good service. Nice annd kind owners. I definitely coming back to Phuket and the grey house palai. I recommend this place 🙏🏽
The view on Chalong bay is beautiful, the room was nice, and the jaccuzzi on the terrace well appreciated. I will recommend this play, especially if you like the sunrise.
